I am a New Product Development Manager at Willowbrook Foods. I joined Willowbrook Foods in February 2011 and have been in my current role for 2 years. During this time I have developed a wide knowledge within the Food industry. This has enabled me to develop several award winning products. Prior to this I worked in the public sector for 26 years and gained a degree in Police Studies.
Tanya Neilson, graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2012 with a 2.1 BSc (Hons) Food Quality, Safety & Nutrition with Professional Studies. As part of degree course, I carried out a 1 year placement in Campden BRI, Food Manufacturing Technologies Department as a Packaging Technologist. Now worked in Willowbrook Foods for over 1 year, initially as a NPD technologist and more recently promoted to NPD Customer Relations Manager working directly with Customers.
University: Queen’s University Belfast. Degree: BSc. (Hons) in Food Quality, Safety and Nutrition. Gained a vast range of knowledge and experience from industry processing and manufacturing through to human nutrition, food policy and microbiology throughout my degree. Graduated: July 2013. Employment: Began employment as an NPD Technologist with Willowbrook Foods in July 2013. Gained experience throughout the business, developing skills and was promoted to NPD Customer Relations Manager in early 2014.
I came to Northern Ireland from Poland 7 years ago. Shortly after, I took a position at Willowbrook Foods. My present role is assistant technologist. I have a Master of Law degree from The University of Wroclaw and Certificates in Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.
